Wildflowers and Vines.

The

Dan Quiñones Prints online store features three distinct collections: the Legacy Collection, the Elevation Collection, and the Incline Collection. Each serves its own purpose, but the Incline Collection allows me to be playful, reimagine older photographs, and remaster them with new color treatments and editing techniques. However, the caveat about the Incline Collection, is that the photographs within it change with seasons, and they  are only available for a month at a time, so if you see something you like, I encourage you to place your order while the images are available.

One of my favorite images in this collection was captured during bud break in the vineyards of the Gap’s Crown AVA. This AVA, located on the eastern side of Santa Rosa and nestled in the rolling hills behind Sonoma State University, is known for producing exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Many of the ranches here are farmed organically or biodynamically, reflecting a deep respect for the land.

Winter vineyards offer simplicity and clarity. The rows of dormant, freshly pruned vines create clean, symmetrical compositions, making them a dream for an artist like me. The leading lines naturally guide the eye, and this minimalist aesthetic allows the beauty of the landscape to shine.

This particular photograph captures more than just the vines. In the foreground, you’ll notice the wildflowers of Sonoma County—bright bursts of life that attract native species and pollinators while enriching the soil with biodiversity and nutrients as they cycle through their seasons.

For me, this image symbolizes the circle of life. It’s a celebration of soil health, sustainable farming, and the interconnectedness of all things. It honors the best practices being implemented here in Sonoma County and the beauty that emerges when we work in harmony with the land.

I hope this photograph inspires you to appreciate not just the vineyard's artistry but also the life it supports—above and below the surface. This print is available in vertical orientations ranging from 8x10 inches to 40x60 inches, as well as square formats. Each print, whether it be on the Pearl Paper, Canvas, or Metal is reproduced in the highest quality possible, bringing the details and mood of the photograph to life.
